Foot Loose & Running Free is for anyone who desires to adopt a healthy relationship with running. Our program provides camaraderie as well as information on choosing a safe and effective training plan to reach your running goal.
We believe in the power of cross training to enhance full running potential and improve stability, power, and endurance. We recommend rounding out your running program with strength, balance, and flexibility training and many of our programs include these components of fitness for reaching your goal.
Our current program offering, Foot Loose & Running Free Group Training to Benefit WWP is supporting the Wounded Warrior Project. Please read on to learn more about this important initiative to raise funds for our wounded warriors.
GROUP TRAINING TO BENEFIT THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
To participate in our group training effort to support the WWWP simply email us at fitness@dc.rr.com with your interest and we will add you to our group email list to be notified of the dates, times and locations of our group training walk/runs.
Your assistance is requested in supporting a very important fundraiser event for the brave men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces who have been wounded in the global war on terror.
Balanced Training Boot Camp is hosting Foot Loose & Running Free Group Training beginning on 08/10/2010. The group training is an opportunity to get together with fellow civilians and walk or run for a designated time. Our weekday runs are currently scheduled on Tuesday & Thursday morning beginning at 5:45 a.m. and our weekend runs will be on either Saturday or Sunday at 6:00 a.m. After you become part of our group, we will put you on the group email blast to receive notifications of dates and locations for our group runs.
We are asking for your support as a sponsor or donor to help raise the funds necessary to provide valuable programs and services for injured men and women returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Our group goal is to raise $50,000 by April 1, 2011 as a connected group of family, friends, walkers and runners.
Tens of thousands of service men and women have been injured in the recent war on terror, many of them suffering traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and severe burns, which will retire them from service. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) provides programs and services, such as benefits counseling, family assistance, internships and much more, to ease their burdens and aid in the transition back to a successful civilian life.
We would be most grateful if you would consider a contribution in any amount that you see fit. Our group web site for submitting donations electronically can be accessed at www.wwpproudsupporter.kintera.org/footloose
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of U.S. troops who selflessly put their safety on the line every day. Please consider giving back to those who have given so much already.
Visit http://woundedwarriorproject.org for more information on this worthy cause or contact Cathy Serif to discuss sponsorship opportunities or answer any questions you may have regarding the Foot Loose & Running Free Group Training event.
We look forward to your participation.
Sincerely,
Cathy Serif
